Publication Process

The POONAM SHODH RACHNA (PSR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, transparency, and ethical publishing. Our publication process is designed in accordance with internationally accepted scholarly practices to ensure fairness, rigor, and integrity at every stage—from manuscript submission to final publication.

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors are invited to submit their original research manuscripts through the journal’s official online submission system or via the designated editorial email. Submitted manuscripts must:

  • Be original and unpublished
  • Not be under consideration by any other journal
  • Fall within the scope of the journal

A formal cover letter confirming originality, authorship responsibility, and ethical compliance must accompany each submission.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon receipt, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial office to evaluate:

  • Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
  • Compliance with submission guidelines and formatting requirements
  • Completeness of required documents

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors for correction before further processing.

3. Plagiarism and Ethical Verification

PSR strictly upholds publication ethics and academic integrity. All manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening using recognized plagiarism-detection tools. The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward:

  • Plagiarism
  • Duplicate or redundant publication
  • Data fabrication or falsification

Manuscripts failing ethical checks are rejected without proceeding to peer review.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the preliminary checks are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers. Each manuscript is reviewed by independent experts with subject-specific expertise.
The peer review process focuses on assessing:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Scientific and methodological rigor
  • Contribution to existing knowledge
  • Clarity of presentation and structure

Reviewer comments are constructive and intended to enhance the quality and clarity of the manuscript.

5. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accepted for publication
  • Accepted with minor revisions
  • Major revisions required
  • Rejected

Authors are formally notified of the decision along with detailed reviewer feedback.

6. Revision and Resubmission

Authors requested to revise their manuscript must submit:

  • A revised manuscript incorporating all suggested changes
  • A detailed response-to-reviewers document, explaining how each comment has been addressed

Revised submissions may undergo further review to ensure all concerns have been adequately resolved.

7. Final Acceptance and Production

Once a manuscript is accepted, it enters the production stage, which includes:

  • Professional copyediting and proofreading
  • Formatting according to journal standards
  • Assignment of a Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
  • Final layout preparation for online publication

Authors receive page proofs for final approval prior to publication.

8. Publication and Open Access Dissemination

All accepted articles are published under the open access model, ensuring unrestricted global access to published research. Articles are made available online immediately upon publication and are indexed in relevant academic databases to enhance visibility and citation impact.

9. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their published work, permitting unrestricted use,
distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.

10. Ethical Standards and Research Integrity

PSR strictly adheres to international publication ethics. Authors are required to:

  • Declare any conflicts of interest
  • Disclose funding sources
  • Ensure ethical approval for studies involving human or animal subjects

Any allegation of ethical misconduct is investigated thoroughly and handled in accordance with global best practices.

Commitment to Excellence

The PSR publication process reflects our commitment to academic excellence, transparency, and ethical responsibility. Through rigorous peer review, responsible editorial oversight, and open access dissemination, PSR aims to contribute meaningfully to the global research community.
